b588a92b7f adapt to changes in sg_exception interface
sg_location now uses C strings. Also, change uses of sg_throwable to more
specific exceptions like sg_io_exception.

b07ad149ae turn a few #include paths from the "foo" form to <foo>
The quotes form is normally only used for headers with path relative
to the including file's path, though the standard doesn't strictly
mandate this. This is consistent with the rest of sg/fg, it makes the
code's intent clearer and helps to find headers. (And it's a few
milliseconds faster, too.)

183b871b48 Fix a problem with two concurent 'round to multiple of basic simulation
time' code paths. The problem may lead to skipped fdm updates at very high
frame rates. The most visible effect of that was that the aircraft
slips backwards wrt the forward moving carrier.
Remove unused stuff.

7d5d756095 FGPositioned clean-ups - apply some desirable changes (such as making members
const) which were previously tricky but now easy. Make it possible not to
index certain types (used for taxiways) and exclude anonymous items from
the name index. Related to this, clean up FGRunway further - remove some public
members, and fix a dumb bug of mine, where we create reciprocal entries for
taxiways.

This should make startup (slightly) quicker, and shrinks FGRunway somewhat.

aa78341698 James Turner:
Convert FGRunway to be heap-based, and inherit FGPositioned. This is a large, ugly change, since FGRunway was essentially a plain struct, with no accessors or abstraction. This change adds various helpers and accessors to FGRunway, but doesn't change many places to use them - that will be a follow up series of patches. It's still a large patch, but outside of FGAirport and FGRunway, mostly mechanical search-and-replace.

An interesting part of this change is that reciprocal runways now exist as independent objects, rather than being created on the fly by the search methods. This simplifies some pieces of code that search for and iterate runways. For users who only want one 'end' of a runway, the new 'isReciprocal' predicate allows them to ignore the 'other' end. Current the only user of this is the 'ground-radar' ATC feature. If we had data on which runways are truly 'single-ended', it would now be trivial to use this in the airport loader to *not* create the reciprocal.

667e64e1eb - remove the SG_GLxxxx_H #defines, since OSG provides its own versions
- this exposed a bizarre issue on Mac where dragging in <AGL/agl.h> in
   extensions.hxx was pulling in all of Carbon to the global namespace
   - very scary. As a result, I now need to explicitly include CoreFoundation
   in fg_init.cxx.
 - change SG_USING_STD(x) to using std::x

d9bfd5a425 This should apply, and everything should build cleanly, in isolation from the
SimGear change. It changes all the SG_xxxx to be the 'real' includes, and gets
rid of many #ifdef SG_HAVE_STD_INCLUDES. As an added bonus, rather than
replacing 'SG_USING_NAMESPACE(std)' with 'using namespace std', I just fixed
the small number of places to use std:: explicitly. So we're no longer polluting
the global namespace with the entire contents of std, in many cases.

There is one more 'mechanical' change to come - getting rid of SG_USING_STD(X),
but I want to keep that separate from everything else. (There's another
mechnical change, replacing <math.h> with <cmath> and so on *everywhere*, but
one step at a time)

eccddb3dfd Attached patches remove BORLANDC, and hence SG_MATH_EXCEPTION_CLASH and SG_INCOM
PLETE_FUNCTIONAL from SimGear and FlightGear.

As a result, SG_HAVE_STD_INCLUDES is now *always* set, so I will get the boring
fixes for that done, but separately. I'm still auditing the other things in comp
ilers.h - there's a lot that can die now BORLAND is gone.

18bece731a Fix GUI and HUD text rendering problems.
After the changes that moved the GUI and HUD to a slave camera, the
texture-based fonts wouldn't display. The main fixes here are making
sure that the TXF textures are all loaded into the font cache early,
and explicitly setting the active texture unit in the GUI / HUD
drawImplementation.

580ebf637b Clean up OSG camera setup and interface to plib PUI
Switch to defining PU_USE_NONE and providing our own callback
functions to pui for "get window" and "get window size." A new
WindowSystemAdapter class assigns ID numbers to windows for the
purpose of identifying them to plib; the window size can be extracted
from the osg::GraphicsContext class in all the different
implementations (osgViewer, glut, sdl).

Implement a GraphicsContextOperation that runs code in a particular
graphics context, perhaps in another thread, and provides an
isFinished() method to test if the operation has finished. This allows
us to initialize plib PUI properly if there are multiple graphics
contexts without using fgMakeCurrent(). fgMakeCurrent() can't work in
multi-threaded OSG configurations.

Eliminate fgMakeCurrent() and all its uses, either by using
GraphicsContextOperation or by seeing that it is not necessary.

Attach the GUI camera as a slave camera.

Don't manipulate the OSG state in the drawImplementation() functions
for SGHUDAndPanelDrawable and SGPuDrawable; it's not needed.

2c193be0ca Syd Adams:
- Well I finally licked it, the clipping works great now, in 16 and 32
  bpp mode, on 2d and 3d panels.
- I tried glScissors, didnt work because clipping was done in screen
  co-ordinates.
- Stencil buffer methods worked great for 2d panel, but messed up 3d
  panels,(depth buffer problems I think), and only worked in 32 bpp mode.
- I then tried clip planes , and so far it appears to work with no
  problem, and no framerate drop like I had with the stencil buffer
  method...

I'm attaching the panel.cxx file for testing...

471fecd72c indentation, trailing spaces, ... (cosmetics only); doesn't make

dee302354f the special line width doesn't make much sense, as it's only applied to the
arrow head marks. It was probably thought for all lines, but as those are
wide enough, I just comment that out for now.

14addaab07 treat colors like the other parameters: only copy them from the palette
color group /sim/hud/palette/color[*]/ to the active group /sim/hud/color/
if they really exist. (Parameters like <antialiased> can be set in the
active group and be left alone, or set by each <palette> color group.)

95da0171a0 bark if the requested font isn't a texture font. A more graceful recovery
doesn't buy us much, as the font is only set at initialization time and not
changeable later. Better tell the user immediately that he goofed.

2b2b4fa8a3 make headers include headers they depend on, don't rely on the c(xx)
file to do that. (This is a requirement for header precompiling.)

beff0cef60 better use zero sensitive area to detect a missing (or inoperable) button,
because a missing <button> default to 0, which makes a lot of sense

1c27be1cb4 panel_io.cxx: if an action doesn't have a button, fire its bindings
immediately and then throw it away; this is useful for initialization

249a1264ff Remove the old hardcode fps display. This is now replaced with a nasal/gui
display that can be dragged around the screen to an unobtrusive location.

a3890d1253 Add support for a special-instrument xml attribute, which triggers loading of a know c++ hard-coded instrument. This has some ugliness that will need removing at some point. In particular, panel reload is broken for panels that include a special-instrument, since this triggers subsystem reload which is a fatal error. 029dda3297 In the process of changing, adding and removing files the last few years
there was the situation where four directories contained jst two files,
of which three directories were aircraft related, and one directory contained
test code from Curt that might be better of in SimGear anyhow.

This is just a patch to move a bunch of files to new locations. In case of
local changes to any of them you can do the following:

move replay.[ch]xx from src/Replay to src/Aircraft
move control.[ch]xx from src/Control to src/Aircraft
move ssgEntityArray.[ch]xx from src/Objects to simgear/screen

In addition it has been decided only to use .[ch]xx files in all directories
unless it's contained within an FDM specific directory, in which case the
author is free to do whatever (s)he wants.

In this repspect the following files have been renamed in src/Multiplayer:

tiny_xdr.[ch]pp has become tiny_xdr.[ch]xx
multiplaymgr.[ch]pp has become multiplaymgr.[ch]xx

Dont use "const Point3D&" for return types unless you're absolutely sure.

  calculating it by hand every time.
