All transparency-related config has been reverted back to how it was in
2020.3 for maximum compatibility. This is not ideal for HDR but we will
figure something out.
In HDR, transparent AC objects must be marked with model-transparent or
model-combined-transparent. glTF objects are automatically assigned the
correct Effects.
- New atmosphering rendering technique based on my own work.
- Attempt to fix some remaining transparency issues.
- Use a luminance histogram for auto exposure.
- Add support for clustered shading.
- Add WS 2.0 shaders.
- Add 3D cloud shaders.
- Add orthoscenery support.
model-combined-transparent was replaced by calling model-transparent causing the ALS
externel canopy effects to get lost. Call model-combined instead which restores these
effects.
- model-combined-transparent is deprecated.
- model-transparent can be used to let some rendering pipelines know that
an object is transparent.
- In the case of Classic, model-transparent just inherits from model-default
and the object is rendered normally.
- All non-ALS Effects have been removed (except generic ones from model-default and terrain-default).
- The rendering dialog has been reworked to accomodate the changes.
- All necessary properties have been added to graphics-properties.xml
- Five graphics presets have been added: Minimal, Low, Medium, High and Ultra.
- Some unused properties have been removed from defaults.xml
- Remove all Compositor Effects and Shaders.
- Unify the low-spec and ALS pipelines in a single pipeline called 'Classic'.
- Readd shadow mapping.
- Move the WS30 Effect and fragment shader out of the Compositor-specific directories.
Talking with Emilian about this commit, we came to the conclusion we don't want share uniform between .eff file
This reverts commit 91a6a27f32ee5f79e1d7e0d4570e879a902de58f.
Certain systems experience memory corruption related to this
effect. There is certainly an underlying bug in effects code
(or SGExpression code), but in the short-term this avoids the
issue by fixing some bad syntax in the .eff file.
(<property> is only for boolean properties, not to read a value)
Switch c172p and concorde glass effects to the new effect.
Docs/model-combined.eff/: Updated transparent effect template.
From now on Effects/model-combined should not be inherited from directly.
Use either Effects/model-combined-deferred
or Effects/model-combined-transparent
