10414fada4 src/GUI/new_gui.cxx: NewGUI::setStyle(): remove old nodes before copying across new style.
Previously old nodes that weren't in the new style, would be left in place,
leading to a confusing mix of styles sometimes.

c13bfe2722 PUI: window (FgPopup) handling changes
- I think I've fixed a long standing problem with clicks traveling through windows and bringing the dialog window underneath to the foreground.

- Added /sim/gui/dialogs/current-dialog that contains the name of the currently active (in front) dialog window.

- Changed dialog-open to bring a dialog to the front if it is already open.

a9084ac561 Add-ons: make NewGUI read dialogs from $addon_dir/gui/dialogs
As for aircraft, an add-on can now add its custom dialogs in
$addon_dir/gui/dialogs. This commit makes NewGUI consider this directory
as a dialog-providing one for each registered add-on.

5af55a1409 Copy currently selected gui style tree to sim/gui/selected-style
This makes it considerably easier to reference an item from the currently selected style without having to lookup the selected style index and then use that to select the appropriate element from the styles/ tree

00845b17b9 Prevent PUI menubar obscuring startup tips
Add an additional visibility flag to the menubar implementations, 
conditional on whether or not the menubar overlaps the window content.
(I.e for PUI but not Cocoa). This flag is linked to a new property
/sim/menubar/overlap-hide, which the renderer drives off the splash-
screen visibility.

6d0c2070fd Use future-proof SGPath APIs.
Remove uses of .str(), .c_str() and some other methods of SGPath.
Pass SGPath directly where possible, or explicitly convert to the
appropriate 8-bit encoding.

070dba29f9 Close dialogs on GUI shutdown
- avoids orphaned dialogs on reset
- requires some guards in NasalSys since Nasal is shutdown first, but
  dialogs can have Nasal modules.

1b585fa415 Windows native file-dialog, menu-bar
By Gijs with additions by James. Menubar is disabled at present
since it's not usable and potentially inferior to other solutions,
but committing the code so it doesn't rot.

5e7574c9c2 Bug-fix: Cocoa menus work in aircraft with custom dialogs.
Restarting the GUI could cause Cocoa menus to misbehave, due to
destruction behaviour of SGBinding. Use new clear() helper in the
short term to work around this.

45ea8b5daa Bug 947, menu item state wrong after reset.
Mark the entire /sim/menubar tree as PRESERVED, so reset doesn't
mess up all the state.

ce9afecdbd Support a log-list widget in PUI.
Add a puaListBox which can show the contents of a log-buffer. Currently only two buffer sources are supported more to follow (and the dialog XML updates).

d61e992d76 Fix occasional start-up crash when reading GUI XMLs.
_dialog_props holds SGSharedPtrs (pointers managed by reference counters).
Explicitly casting the object to an unmanaged SGPropertyNode* and deleting it
may cause heap corruption, since the following assignment "_dialog_props[..] = ..."
also tries to delete the (already deleted) object.

73334cf61b Bugfix #35 / denker #20F:
Guard against invalid font names in panel XML files, and make font name
comparisons case-insensitive so that 'helvetica', 'Helvetica' or 'HELVETICA'
work as expected.

18bece731a Fix GUI and HUD text rendering problems.
After the changes that moved the GUI and HUD to a slave camera, the
texture-based fonts wouldn't display. The main fixes here are making
sure that the TXF textures are all loaded into the font cache early,
and explicitly setting the active texture unit in the GUI / HUD
drawImplementation.

a251fd35cb Include <iostream> and using declarations as needed.
SimGear no longer includes iostream and avoids using declarations in
header files, so various fixups are needed.

6cd9794b0c Add a subclass of fntTexFont that defers font loading
Loading is deferred until the first render so that it has a chance of
happening in the proper graphics context.

f5e9e1898f Miscellaneous tweaks and Bugfixes. Mostly memory leaks ported from the plib
version
* Delete ai list objects in ~ATC/AIMgr.cxx:AIMgr::~AIMgr()
* Delete colors in GUI/new_gui.cxx: NewGui::~NewGui.cxx
* Delete memory allocated to the class member "route" in
  Instrumentation/gps.cxx
* Delete all globals (except a few "unsafe" ones that still cause segfaults
  and need further examination.
* Use an SGShared pointer for navaid memory allocation, so that pointers to
  individual navaid objects can be included safely in multiple navaid lists
